​Biography

Dr Tuan Phan is a highly experienced and compassionate interventional radiologist with over 15 years of clinical expertise in diagnostic and interventional radiology. He completed his medical degree at Monash University in Australia, followed by specialist radiology training at Monash Health. Dr Phan further specialised by undertaking fellowships in Interventional Radiology at both Monash Health and Alfred Health. Currently, he serves as an interventional radiologist at The Alfred and is the Head of Interventional Radiology at Peninsula Health in Melbourne, Australia. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at Monash University, actively contributing to research and the education of future radiologists.

Dr Phan is also deeply committed to advancing interventional radiology education as an Associate Editor and Contributor for the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) Examination, under the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE). The EBIR represents a prestigious qualification recognised internationally, signifying excellence and advanced proficiency in the specialty.

Dr Phan’s professional reputation is built on his dedication to clinical innovation, particularly in venous interventions, vascular malformations, and interventional management of pelvic and vascular conditions.
