What is an Interventional Radiologist?
Interventional Radiologists (IRs) are specialist medical doctors who undergo at least 8 years of training after graduating medical school. They specialise in performing minimally invasive surgical procedures for the management of a wide range of conditions including blocked arteries and veins, aneurysms, acute bleeding, and tumours, just to name a few.

What if I don't have private health insurance?
Our doctors are happy to consult with all patients including those without private insurance. Please let the booking staff know of your insurance status when making the appointment. Our doctors work at major public hospitals across Melbourne and Geelong, and are able to arrange treatment in the public hospital system, however the waiting times are typically longer than through the private system.
